About Covidence

Web platform for systematic reviews: import, deduplicate, screen titles and abstracts, review full texts and extract data as a team.

Covidence is a web platform built for running systematic reviews. You import search results from databases, it removes duplicates, and reviewers screen titles and abstracts, then full texts, with conflicts flagged for a third reviewer. Later stages cover risk of bias assessment and data extraction into forms you design.

Review teams in health and social sciences use it because it keeps decisions, reasons for exclusion and reviewer agreement in one place, and it produces the counts needed for a PRISMA flow diagram. Many universities and health organizations hold institutional licenses, so ask your library before paying.

Covidence speeds up the workflow but does not make methodological decisions for you. Your protocol, search strategy and eligibility criteria still need to be written and registered where your field expects it, and any machine-assisted screening features should be described in your methods.
